Looking down on one of the city’s most famous icons, our 25 Broadway office space puts you in the heart of Lower Manhattan. On the three open, airy floors occupied by WeWork, the atmosphere is relaxed but electric. Members here range from one-person startups to corporations with dozens of employees, so it’s no surprise that their industries include advertising, fashion, marketing, accounting, and public relations. Transportation is easy—find the 1, R, and W trains at Rector Street, the 4 and 5 at Wall Street, and the J and Z at Broad Street. Steps away is Stone Street, an alley with bars and restaurants that are perfect for a client dinner or team outing like Luke’s Lobster and the Dead Rabbit. For an unbeatable location, great amenities, and a friendly atmosphere, you can’t beat 25 Broadway.
I am a huge fan of WeWork and as far as I am concerned it is pretty close to perfect and certainly has a log more pluses than minuses. But it isn’t perfect and here are a few of the main drawbacks in my view.
I find the cafe seating really uncomfortable. I get that the bar seats and the table seats look trendy but really none of it is that comfy – it’s unpractical and I would just like to sit on a seat that doesn’t spin. The couch is OK, but quite honestly if the seating was a bit more structured it would be so much better.
Seating is a big deal – you need comfort! So that loses a star, sorry WeWork! The quiet room, the little phone booth private rooms are great. I love the atmosphere in the building, the location is near on perfect and the décor fits right in. The employees at WeWork are all really nice, friendly and welcoming. WeWork prides itself on making you feel like part of community and that is something they do well, I did feel I belonged here. But that seating – that is a big no from me!
